With over 30 separate layers of proprietary filtering we're not simply blocking "key-words" or "senders" using basic rules and black-lists. Instead, we deliver results good enough to earn a spot on the "Best of the Year" lists for both PC World and PC Magazine.
Ordinarily, OnlyMyEmail's filtering will remove 99.6% of unwanted spam, viruses and fraudulent Phishing emails. However, for OME-Kids we have made our filtering slightly more aggressive than what is used for our Personal and Corporate MX-Defender solutions. While this may result in the blocking of slightly more legitimate email, such messages can be easily reviewed and resent after parental review.
In addition, our OME-Kids implementation takes the extra step of blocking even so-called "legitimate" direct marketing campaigns by default. This is based on our belief that the simple use of email should not automatically subject children to yet another vector for marketing exploitation from the advertisers of the world.
Naturally, parents can override this filtering preference and may also allow any senders of which they approve to bypass our filtering.
