Aliased addresses do not require a mailbox to be configured but instead resolve/forward to a another address's mailbox.
If you choose to have us host your email (this is optional) then unlimited aliases are included with your hosting for free.
However, because all inbound addresses require the same inbound filtering effort, both mailboxes and aliases will be billed for filtering services.
